3 Proposal-Worthy Spots on the Nature Island

Big moments deserve big views—and even bigger celebrations. Lucky for you, Dominica provides it all and more. When you’re about to ask a life-changing question, you want it to be spectacular (and a bit private, too). So if you’re ready to pop the question during your stay in Dominica, here are a few of the best, most beautiful places to do so.

Emerald Pool

Aptly named, Emerald Pool in Morne Trios Piton National Park is one of the most stunning waterfall pools in the country. The emerald green waters are filled with clear mountain water rushing from a 40-foot waterfall that makes for one of the most spectacular sights in all of Dominica. Surrounded by forests, it may take a few minutes of casual hiking to get there, but once you arrive, you can spend hours there. If you are looking to create a truly romantic moment in nature with the person you love the most, this is the place to do so.

Middleham Falls

For a more remote proposal, Middleham Falls is the place to go. After about an hour of intermediate hiking, you will reach one of the most beautiful sites in Dominica. A 200-foot wall of lush greenery is cut in half by the rushing falls soaring higher than you could ever imagine creating a truly stunning backdrop. The rushing water piles in a chilly pool where you can cool off from the rather grueling hike. Pack a lunch, the ring and create a magical moment in nature together. It will be your special spot for life.

Fort Young Hotel

At Fort Young Hotel, we’re ready to help you execute the proposal of your dreams. Our hotel sits on the waterfront, creating endless opportunities for magical sceneries and moments.
