At Fort Young Hotel & Dive Resort, we’re thrilled to unveil our extensive reimagination project that promises to take your stay to new heights of comfort and adventure. We’ve been hard at work over the last few months to bring you an array of exciting new changes, all set to be completed by November 2023. What can you expect? From 60 new rooms to a number of new amenities, here’s everything you can look forward to this fall (and beyond) at Fort Young Hotel & Dive Resort.

Curated Amenities to See, Sip, Dine & Play

In addition to our new guest rooms, the resort is introducing a host of new curated amenities, which include:

Old Oven Art Gallery: Art gallery with a rotating display of local artists, along with curated art exhibitions, other intimate events and private functions.

Compass Fitness Center: With panoramic ocean views, the fitness center will feature treadmills, weights, bikes, elliptical machines, changing rooms, showers and lockers.

Marquis Bar and Lounge: A unique and historic bar and lounge area that will be open throughout the day and evening, featuring natural light and opened walls leading to a covered pathway and courtyard.

Museum Café: An intimate, sunken café embedded into an historic area of the old fort featuring local Dominican coffee and freshly baked pastries for guests to enjoy as a dine-in experience, as well as for grab-and-go.

Rum and Wine Cellar + Retail Space: Located in what were one prison cells, the Rum & Wine Cellar will offer tastings of local rums and wines, as well as sell them along with other specialty rums and wines from the Caribbean and the world.

Work & Play Hub: A central part of the resort, the Work & Play hub will feature state-of-the-art executive and board meeting rooms, game rooms, as well as printing and connectivity facilities.

Additional Amenities & Features

Our reimagination doesn’t stop there! Additional amenities include a courtyard lounge and outdoor play area, and by the end of 2024, an auditorium that can accommodate 100 people (the first of its kind in Dominica!), as well as a Rooftop Wellness Garden.

The resort’s dive operation has also evolved as part of our evolution, bringing everything in-house and on-site with two brand-new boats, special dive packages, a unique shore diving experience from our jetty and so much more. Learn more about what’s new for Fort Young Dive here.
