At Fort Young Hotel, we believe in taking care of our environment and our community. Our approach to tourism is rooted in sustainability, ensuring we offer genuine and responsible travel experiences. By staying connected to our local surroundings and people, we aim to make a positive difference for our guests, our neighbors, and the world we all share.

Developing with Respect

Our rebuild process, following the hurricane’s destruction, was driven by a deep respect for both nature and heritage. In our efforts to protect the Fort’s original fabric, we took great care to preserve its rich history while seamlessly incorporating modern elements. This thoughtful approach ensures that guests continue to experience the authentic essence of Dominica, where the past and present harmoniously coexist.

Operating Responsibly

We’re all about making a positive difference without leaving a big mark on the environment. As one of only two properties
in Dominica with Green Globe Certification, we stand at the forefront of creating a guest experience that seamlessly blends luxury with environmental responsibility. Through
eco-friendly practices and initiatives, we continue to pave
the way for a greener future in Dominica.

Immersive Guest Experiences

We create real, nature-filled experiences based on Dominica’s local culture. Our aim is to help our guests truly connect with the island and inspire them to care for it for generations to come.

All Inclusive

By reinventing the All-Inclusive concept to incorporate the island experience through local service providers and community engagements, we create a direct link between our guests and the local culture, ensuring a broader contribution to the economy with each stay. This sustainable, symbiotic approach fosters deeper community integration while offering transformative encounters rooted in nature and Dominican culture.

  • All Inclusive + Island-Included allow guests to enjoy the city, land and/or sea adventures each and every day, but off-property island activities will also include local communities, whether a visit to a local restaurant or rum shop or experiencing our local arts, craft and culture.
