Travel + Leisure Spotlights Fort Young Hotel’s Full Reopening

Fort Young Hotel is thrilled to be featured in Travel + Leisure’s recent article spotlighting the reopening of a select few Caribbean hotels—with major upgrades, no less—following Hurricane Maria. Just one year later, Dominica is ready to welcome back visitors with open arms and notable improvements.

Fort Young Hotel

Travel + Leisure highlights that Fort Young Hotel has been undergoing renovations throughout the summer yet, impressively, has made 41 rooms out of 72 available to those visiting Roseau. As stated in the article, “guests at the hotel can once again use the pool, waterfront bar, and in-room
spa services, in addition to the hotel’s new [Jacko’s] poolside bar and expanded boardwalk.”

We will celebrate our full reopening in February 2019 and, as general manager Marvlyn James said, “we’re extremely excited to welcome guests back to Fort Young to enjoy the beauty and hospitality of the Nature Island.” Just beyond Fort Young Hotel lie an incredible number of reopened sites to discover. Whether you and yours wish to relax on Batibou Beach or hike up to the astounding Trafalgar Falls, the opportunities to explore are endless.

On behalf of all of us at Fort Young Hotel, we look forward to hosting you soon.
